Be Grateful For the Little Things.

What is it that brings the most joy into your life? Is there something you enjoy doing, purely for Pleasure? Does time just seem to evaporate when you're doing it?

To be engaged in the act of doing something to it's fullest extent, is to know true contentment.

Neuroscientists have recently discovered that practicing gratitude or the offering of intentional thanks for even the most insignificant aspect of your life can have a positive effect on your brain chemistry.

I wouldn't suggest for a minute that everyone's lives are great, all the time;
we all encounter hardship, struggles and grief.

What matters is that here you are, this amazing Eternal Spirit Being, living this physical existence, in this moment, doing your very best, day in day out, battling away and surviving through it all.

There's no need to sit in meditation for hours to exercise Gratitude for your life;
Try thinking of any 3 things you are grateful for, when you're stuck in traffic, in the supermarket queue, in a boring meeting at work.

When we make a conscious connection with our interior and Higher Selves and give thanks for what we have and where we are, we can momentarily relax and let go of grasping for what we don't have, for what we are not.
Continually grasping for more of this and that is simply focusing on the lack of that element in our lives now, at this moment.
Ambitions and goals are admirable and have their place in a healthy, balanced life, but when constant striving is used as a distraction or as the only means of fulfilment, every victory will soon become lacklustre and hollow.

True happiness lies in being able to find enjoyment in the little things and at the same time, continue to work towards the life goals you have.

In reminding yourself of where true joy lies in yourself and your life, you will always be secure in the knowledge that You Are and Have Enough.

What a Wonderful Life this really is!

Love and Blessings.
