Things that are destroyed or gone forever, irreparable, destitute. But, in fact there are different ways in which we may fashion an explanation of the term. If we test something 'to failure' we think in terms of how much pressure or Force we may apply to something before it is broken; but we do not do so to make it irreparable, damaged for good. The pressure is applied, the 'failure' is witnessed and the adjustments needed to strengthen are made. That is the science of things is it not? The same technique is applicable to the human being; you are tested to the very brink in one situation or another until the point of breaking....then, almost miracul
